This book will have you reaching for the sky!
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author and agreed to give an honest review.
Review:
Book Summary:
Told through sweet and simple rhyme, The Little Seed follows the journey of an aspirational seed with dreams as high as the sky. Young readers will learn about the life cycle of a seed and how belief in yourself leads to your dreams coming true.
Opinion:
Thanks to raindrops like Splish and Splash we have a new favorite character created by Adele Lamothe.
Adele’s rhyming verses are simple, fun and age appropriate. Add Tu’s colorful illustrations to the mix and you have a wonderful story about the life cycle of a dandelion.
I appreciated the life cycle of a dandelion diagram at the end of the book. The visual is straightforward and easy for kids to understand.
The Little Seed is perfect for a classroom read aloud or at home story time.
I give it 5 Lemon Drops!
Classroom Connection:
The Little Seed would make an excellent addition to a Spring Theme or a discussion on Life Cycles. The rich vocabulary used in the text will enhance young learners' word usage.
Age Range: The author recommends Baby to 9 years.
Targeted Vocabulary: ferocious, snuggly, breathtaking, sturdy, glorious, dainty, delicate, gush, spectacular, isles, flourish, scattered
